This film proposal deals with current
international issues, namely the destruction
and robbery of the treasures and
archaeological antiquities and museums of
Iraq in the aftermath of the Allied invasion
of the country in May 2004. It is also a
story of two young people, of different
cultural backgrounds, who fall in love under
perilous circumstances. It is full of the
colour and romance of the Middle East, from
the night clubs of Amman to the vast
evocative Jordanian deserts where some of
the action takes place. The action also
moves to Paris and Berlin adding a European
thriller flavour to the film.
It is a fascinating cultural portrayal, the
mysterious romance of the orient blending
with European realism, the forces of evil
against those of the loyal servants of
established governments and institutions. It
becomes a thriller full of excitement,
dangerous encounters and unexpected twists.
The Jordanian locations are all easily
accessible and all the colourful production
values available (Helicopters, Desert Camel
patrols, historical sites etc) with the full
cooperation of local authorities and the
Royal Cinema Commission of Jordan. |
