Synopsis

Background

A Jordanian girl, who had run away from home because she refused to marry her cousin (tradition in Jordan) goes to live with her married sister in New York. After nearly 5 years in America she meets a Jordanian businessman on Facebook and they get very close. She is impressed by photos of his expensive cars and factories and all his talk of success. She begins to dream that maybe this is her man and she should grab him before another girl gets the chance.

The film begins with her arrival at the airport and her taking a taxi. She decided to surprise him with a visit!!! Waleed, her facebook boyfriend is shocked when she calls him and does not know how to react. He makes excuses that he is busy in meetings and that he has a crisis at the factory etc . and begins avoiding answering her calls.

The girl (Lubna) is still in the taxi driving around not knowing what to do, go to a hotel or what...She does not have an address.

Her Egyptian Taxi driver turns out in the end not to be a taxi driver at all but the owner of the taxi company. She develops sympathy towards him while still determined to give her facebook boyfriend benefit of the doubt. Many comic situations happen during the day which finally leads Samir (Taxi Driver) to call a friend in the Intelligence department to find out the residence address of this lover-boy tycoon. He does and he takes Lubna to a very shabby poor area of Amman. The address is a run down building and the girl refuses to believe that this is where he lives. To prove that Samir is wrong she goes to the flat and knocks on the door. The door is opened by Waleed in his dirty torn pajamas carrying a baby in  his arms. Shock...they look at each other mesmerized.

Soon three little children surround their father and finally a pregnant woman.

It becomes obvious that the Tycoon Walid is not what he pretended to be on facebook at all.

You can guess the ending. Samir, the so called Taxi driver takes the weeping Lubna to his office and she is shocked again  how appearances are deceiving. The taxi driver is a real- live successful businessman with a fleet of taxis and a beautiful office. A true romance begins where the Facebook romance ended.

Most of the film is shot in the Taxi with flashbacks telling the above story.
